Confession: I read 4 devotionals today before I found inspiration for this blog.
Confession 2: I then realized the inspiration was all around me. Isn't it amazing how God works?
How easy is it for us to being all happy-go-lucky-praise-song Christians when things are going our way and then turn completely silent towards God other than the word why when things start going any way other than perfect? That's not how it should be though.
Psalm 34:1 says: "I will praise the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips." It doesn't say that we should only praise Him when things are going our way. Even when things aren't going exactly how we imagine they should go, I can guarantee you that they are going exactly how they should according to His plan for our lives. The hard times are opportunities for us to grow and through that growth we become the people that we are meant to be. And isn't that a reassuring truth? How comforting to know that we are always in His hand.
And for that we should always praise him.
